Un Año sin Amor plot
"Sex... Sin... Passions"
Pablo is a young poet infected with the HIV virus. He decides to keep a diary. In it, he records his search for a medicine that should cure him of his illness and his loneliness. Pablo searches in vain for love in the gay bars of Buenos Aires, posting personals and having anonymous sex in porn movie theaters. During his search for the love of his life, he discovers a way to eroticize his pain. He joins a group that practices S&M and has a leather fetishism. These sexual adventures give him new life energy. By the end of the year, he has written pages about his sexual adventures and his medical treatment. Pablo decides to publish his diary as a novel and is supported in this by his best friend Nicolas.
