Tillsammans plot
1975. Tired of her husband beating her, Elisabeth flees with her son and daughter to her brother Göran. This one lives in a goat wool socks commune, called Tillsammans (Samen). A group of young people and 2 children live in this somewhat overcrowded commune. During the film, hope, belief and ambition, values, norms, principles and practice collide, changing everyone's place in the commune and in the world.

Thought it was entertaining, but otherwise this 'Tillsammans' didn't do much for me. Moodysson mixes drama and humor perfectly. Well acted and natural, both by the elderly and the children. Some nice pictures and some crazy dialogues, painful (but) funny scenes and a nice atmosphere. Nice for once.

The film reminded me somewhat of Vinterbergs Kollektivet (Film, 2016) where even a commune in the 1970s doesn't care about all the usual things in The society. So it's no different here. Tillsammans is on a smaller scale and mainly takes place in 1 large house where several couples live together.
Free love and concubines, free thinking ... it produces some nice images that raise the eyebrows with a humorous quip. The faces of the children from that family with domestic violence were funny to see. Well, you can think as much as you want, in practice that is not always so obvious. You are never alone and you don't just switch off emotions and thoughts. And that is also apparent in this film, especially in the longer term, I think.
Tillsammans is a down-to-earth film that beautifully combines drama and humor. Social problems are not avoided, but everyone has their own ideas for finding solutions. Not all super high-end, but quite nice to look at and think about (for a moment).
