"The Love Story of Our Raging Generation !"
Mme. Dufresne owns a large rice plantation in Vietnam. She is a widow and has 2 children, Suzanne and Joseph. The rice plantation is hardly profitable and is also threatened by the sea. Both government official Michael and landowner Albert try to get them off their land. Both men also fall in love with Suzanne. Joseph it all becomes too much and he leaves for Bangkok. When the sea seems to be breaking through the dike, mother and daughter also go to Bangkok to raise money for the repair of the dike.
