"There is a moment when the rest of the world ceases to exist."

Young art student Eddie wants to live a life without problems or responsibility. He meets Pam and falls in love with her. But the easygoing Eddie declares that he doesn't want to marry her. Not long after, Pam becomes pregnant, which becomes a major problem for Eddie.
