The Gypsy and the Gentleman plot
The noble Sir Paul Deverill tries to get out of an arranged marriage and marries the fiery gypsy girl Belle, who herself intends to get as much money from him as possible. She is therefore filled with sadness when it turns out that Deverill is broke.
