"Put down your trumpet, jazzman. I'm in the mood for love!"

Rick Martin discovers he has a gift for music and falls for the trumpet. The legendary Art Hazzard helps him play the trumpet. He eventually becomes a star trumpet player, but refuses to play along to the orchestra's boring tunes. He much prefers to play real jazz. Then the band turns on him, causing Rick to get in trouble.
