The Goose plot
He is called 'The Goose'. A deaf-mute young man with a childish haircut, hunched shoulders and a striking training jacket. Enough reasons for his small-town fellows to dismiss him as a freak. De Gans is cooped up with a ventriloquist villager and his creepy-looking ventriloquist doll. The latter returns repeatedly in his most confusing dreams. The Goose doesn't seem to feel at home in this environment, so his meeting with the Time Travel Agent seems like a way out. His travels by fax and his brilliant solution to the Gans' speech impediment make him happy. But then the miscommunication with the Goose and his fellow man gets completely out of hand. Can the Escape Artist he meets in the hospital help?
