Seven adult siblings from an Irish-American working-class family face the desire of their estranged father to return home for Christmas after leaving them 20 years earlier. The four eldest were adults when their father Big Jim left them, while the younger children never had a relationship with him and still suffer from his departure. But as with any family, Christmas creates a complicated family dynamic.
