"From out of space... A warning and an ultimatum"
The alien Klaatu and his mighty robot land their spaceship on Earth during the Cold War. They bring an important message to the planet, which Klaatu wants to pass on to the leaders of all nations. Since communication proves to be quite difficult, Klaatu decides to take an alternative approach.

Great sci-fi classic. One of the few I still had to go. Excellent script and acting. Knowing that this film is 70 years old, there is nothing to complain about the (scarce) special effects, I know plenty of contemporary CGI films with much worse effects. It also seems to me to be a film that paved the way for the many sci-fi films made after that. Towards the 4*
