Arthur clears tables in a Chinese restaurant, plays the trombone in the school band and has a crush on the smart, funny, special Lila - who also has a crush on him. But when Arthur takes a tentative step toward his first relationship, the long-term relationships of the adults around him begin to waver and collapse.
