Silencio Roto plot
Winter, 1944. Lucía, 21, returns to her small mountain village. There she meets Manuel, a young blacksmith who helps the anti-Franco resistance, "the maquis", who live in the mountains. Lucía is drawn to Manuel by his smile and his courage for helping the resistance, who are constantly fighting for their ideas, sometimes at the cost of their own lives. When Manuel is wanted by Franco's army, he flees into the mountains where Lucía discovers the reality of life under political oppression. The silence, the horror and the fear.
