Schneeland plot

Elisabeth Manninen (Maria Schrader) is a writer who loses her husband as a result of a car accident and is left alone with her 3 children. She becomes deeply depressed and decides to go to icy Lapland, the country where she and her late husband met years earlier. There she plans to find a way to end her life and follow her husband into death. On the way she comes across the dead body of an old woman, near an abandoned house. Hesitant at first, but then with more and more curiosity she begins to unravel the traces of the dead woman's eventful life.
