Roya Was Here plot

Roya’s life is abruptly interrupted when she is arrested for something that every human being has the right to: the freedom to move. The women’s prison confronts her with the harsh reality of oppression. But she finds solace in her fellow inmate Parastu, with whom she bonds through shared moments of sadness and hope. Their inner dialogue is poetry, and by continuing to dance, Roya transcends the limitations of her cell.
