Rainbow on the River plot

The young boy Phillip Ainsworth became an orphan as a result of the war. He is lovingly raised by the ex-slave, Toinette. When a local priest discovers that the kid still has relatives in New York, Phillip is forced to go there. However, there is a big problem: he doesn't know those people at all.
