Pleasure Mad plot
Hugh Benton (Gordon) was once a labourer, but is now a wealthy man. He moves with his family to a rich country house, where the family members get everything their hearts desire. Mother Marjorie (Alden) and son Howard struggle to adjust to a life in the upper class, while teenage daughter Elinor (Shearer) enjoys it to the fullest. The family seems to lose their identities completely in the luxuries, until Elinor is kidnapped...
