Mediocre film about a man who suddenly has certain gifts after seeing a flash. The first half is certainly entertaining and somewhat intriguing. But the film is too long and during the second part it all gets a bit too sweet. The small town is well portrayed and it is not annoying, but just not 3.0 stars.

A film that, despite the 2 hours that it lasts, still looks good. The story manages to maintain but never manages to surprise, and is sometimes quite cliché. With the direction and the actors, the position is on automatic pilot, so that nothing splashes off the screen and no chemistry is felt. A decent thirteen in a dozen film, I thought it was more sci-fi than fantasy, but above all, drama. The premise that someone suddenly sees a mysterious light and becomes incredibly smart is 100% sci-fi and 0% fantasy, right? Average but entertaining. 2.5*

Phenomenon seems at first sight to be quite an interesting film when you start the film. In the end I thought it was a disjointed whole that never really got off the ground.
