Petite Chérie plot

Thirty-year-old Sybille still lives with her parents in a deadly boring suburb. She is not a beauty, still a virgin and so shy that even in the privacy of her own bedroom she puts on her nightgown before taking off her underwear. During the endless bus rides between home and work, a routine office job, she reads cheap paperback novels. One day, over the edge of her novel, she looks handsome Victor in the eye, and her romantic fantasies seem to come true. Against all odds, he returns her longing look and in no time he has moved in with her and her parents. Victor pretends to go to work every morning, but in reality he doesn't throw a punch. Sybille's parents pamper him, happy as they are with the good fortune that their daughter has become. But neither the new car, nor the new bedroom, or the new clothes are good enough. Victor is not satisfied with anything.
