Parsifal plot

Parsifal is the son of Gamuret and Herzeleide. Gamuret died on the battlefield when his son was not yet born. Herzeleide raises Parsifal very protected, far away from other people. She also keeps weapons away from him, in the hope that Parsifal will not die on the battlefield like his father. Parsifal is completely ignorant and unsullied. When Parsifal grows up, the desire to go out into the world arises. Eventually, this desire becomes so great that Herzeleide can no longer hold back Parsifal. Worried about her son, Herzeleide languishes and dies. Parsifal ends up in a knighthood and attends the celebration of the Lord's Supper. Unaware of this experience, an elderly knight (Gurnemanz) sends him away again. He moves on and ends up in an inhospitable area, where he is attacked by enemy knights.
