Papa plot

A Jewish father with a drinking problem dreams that his son Dodik will perform as a musician to a packed house and that he will become one of the greatest violinists of his time. To achieve this goal, he teaches the boy to play the bowed instrument from an early age. When Dodik gets older, he leaves his native village to study at the Moscow Conservatory. However, he wants to break with his past. But one day he has to choose: either lose his father or everything he has achieved.
