Viking plot
"History is a symptom. The diagnosis is us."
The Kievan Rus, late 10th century. After the death of his father, Svyatoslav I, ruler of the Empire, the young Viking prince Vladimir of Novgorod is forced into exile across the frozen sea. This is to escape his treacherous half-brother Yaropolk, who killed his other brother Oleg, who has conquered the Kievan Rus. The ancient warrior Sveneld convinces Vladimir to assemble a Varjacht fleet in hopes of retaking Novgorod from Yaropolk, defeating the mighty Byzantine army in the process.
