Las Vegas, it's the 4th of July, and today marks the five-year anniversary of Hank and Frannie moving in together. They planned to celebrate, but instead they argue. Indeed beautiful songs by Waits, but the story is creaking on all sides, the cast's acting is mediocre to bad (emotionless and superficial) and I don't like to see a film in which Las Vegas has been recreated in a very poor way (the entire film was shot in a studio).

Mediocre film about a couple who get into a fight on the day they have been together for five years. The story and the characters are simply rather boring. The film certainly has visual flair with beautiful decors and colorful lighting. Also, some scenes are nicely edited together. However, this does not save the film.
