1969, Rio de Janeiro. While the eyes of the world are on the moon landing, Brazil is trapped in a dictatorship, in which press freedom and civil rights have been abolished for half a year. Young journalist Fernando and his friend Cesare join the terrorist organization MR8 to fight the Brazilian dictatorship.
