My Dog Skip plot
"Every family needs an optimist."
1942. Nine-year-old Willie lives with his parents in a small Mississippi town. He is a bit of a loner, who constantly has his nose in the books. His only friend is his neighbor Dink, but he is drafted by the army and sent to Europe. To prevent the boy from becoming lonely, Willie's parents buy a terrier puppy for his birthday. With the arrival of the animal, Willie now has a lot easier to make friends. In addition, the dog helps him to know the real value of friendship, loyalty and love.
