"What did this woman doctor learn about men?"
Mary Stevens and her childhood friend Don Andrews are graduating from medical college at the same time. Both decide to set up a medical practice in the same building. Mary is working on her reputation, despite many patients refusing to be treated by a woman. Don begins making arrangements with Lois Cavanaugh, who comes from a wealthy and influential family. Don neglects his practice for the pleasures of social life. Despite Mary's infatuation with Don, he marries Lois and opens a new practice for wealthy clients. Don gives Mary a new practice right next to him. While Mary builds a reputation in the medical world, Don steals money from his practice. Jealousy and mistrust seem to drive Mary and Don apart.
