Magyar Rapszódia plot
This film is the first part of a planned trilogy about the Hungarian history of the first half of this century. Only the first two parts were finally completed and follow the career of István Zsadanyi whose person is based on Endre Bajcsy-Zsilinksky, a Hungarian politician (1886-1944). This part outlines István's aristocratic and reactionary background, in which he himself is characterized by an alternation of brutality and humanity.
