Den Goda Viljan plot
The story of Ingmar Bergman's parents. In 1909, poor theology student Henrik Bergman falls in love with Anne Akerblom, daughter of a wealthy family. After they get married, Henrik accepts a job as a pastor in the far north of Sweden. After a while Anne can no longer handle life in the lonely cold Norrland, and goes back to Uppsala. Henrik stays in the north.
