Les Rois Mongols plot

Montreal, October 1970. Twelve-year-old Manon's family is on the brink of collapse. She and her brother Mimi have to go to a foster home. Manon is incensed and, according to the mores of the time, she decides to take an old woman hostage to claim her right to self-determination. With the help of her cousins Martin and Denis, she leaves the city with the woman and Mimi to a place where they can all be happy and happy.
