La Prima Volta, Sull'Erba plot
At the beginning of the twentieth century, three families met in a rural Austrian guest house in Tyrol; the single neurologist Hans and his son Franz, the also single painter Margherita and her daughter Lotte, and Hella, a girl who would like to become an actress and whose parents have disappeared. The free-spirited Hans and Margherita have very liberal ideas and encourage their children to have an uninhibited relationship with each other. However, their budding love affair runs into serious trouble when their two parents also fall in love.
