Fernando Vila is an experienced immigration lawyer who accepts a seemingly simple matter: prevent the deportation of Zita Krasniqi, a Kosovar woman. When she is found dead under suspicious circumstances in an immigrant detention center, Fernando enlists the help of Zita's friend Juliet Okoro, a Nigerian woman trapped in a prostitution mafia, to uncover the truth. During his investigation, Fernando comes across corruption and abuse within the deportation system.
