Anand (Salman Khan) is a charming young man, hopelessly in love. Just before his dream life can start, fate deprives him of the life he had planned. The dazzling Dr. Understanding and passionate, Tanvi (Kareena Kapoor) lives in a conflict of emotions. Caught between her professional duty to help Anand on the one hand and being influenced by her personal feelings for him on the other. In an unexpected place, love develops between Anand and Tanvi. Fighting against society where a medical system opposes them, they try to make their love last.
