Kombinat Nadezhda plot

Nestled amid vast Arctic landscapes, the Russian city of Norilsk is made up of huge factories, anonymous Soviet architecture and is one of the most polluted places on Earth. Despite the ongoing ecological crisis, the harsh climate and the harsh living conditions, life here goes on in its own extreme but also routine way. Existence there is characterized by the will, or the dream, to escape, especially for the younger generation. Their only wish is to leave, against their better judgment: a desperate, almost impossible dream.
