"Gals IN UNIFORM...IN ACTION...IN LOVE! They're strictly G.I."
Socialite Valerie "Val" Parks is told she won't be eligible to claim her trust fund until she can prove her responsibility. In response, she decides to join the Women's Army Corps, the so-called WAC, to show that she is a grown young woman. On her way to training camp in Des Moines, Iowa, she meets Ann Darrison, a housewife who chose to enlist in the WAC after her husband was deployed overseas, and Leigh Rand, the daughter of a military family. Assigned to the same barracks, Val and Leigh immediately clash, with Leigh acting bossy towards the submissive Val. It brings about the necessary complications.
