Il Falco e La Colomba plot

A young politician survives an attempt on his life on the street thanks to the quick help of an unknown young woman. When he wants to thank her, she is long gone, but he tracks her down. They fall in love and he leaves his wife. His rescuer turns out to be an addict, but he helps her get rid of her heroin craving by having her treated in a very expensive clinic. The politician's father-in-law finds this situation unacceptable and wants revenge.
