Hořící keř plot

Palach set himself on fire on January 16, 1969, during the Prague Spring, in protest against the occupation of Czechoslovakia by Warsaw Pact troops. Lawyer Dagmar Buresova defends his spiritual legacy and his relatives in a lawsuit against the Communist Party, which subsequently flouted his sacrifice. Buresova, who devoted her life to defending persecuted opposition leaders, would become the first justice minister of free Czechoslovakia after the fall of the Iron Curtain.
