Hip Hip Hurra! plot
A biography that depicts the lifestyle of the painters and writers colony that tried to ignore impressionist European influences on the Danish peninsula Skaw at the turn of the century. The central figure is the painter P. Sören Kröyer, a sort of eternal adolescent, who flirts with happiness, impregnates a naive church organist and marries an unfaithful, beautiful woman.
