Grüne Hochzeit plot

When the young couple Robert and Susanne discover that children are on the way, they decide to get married. They have twins and move to an apartment under construction. To make ends meet, Robert goes to work at night while Susanne runs the household and takes care of the two children. She isolates herself from her surroundings and he tries to comfort himself with other partners, but when Susanne attempts suicide, both realize that they may have to try in a completely different way.
