This film reminded me of "Good Will Hunting (2007)", "A Brilliant Mind (2001), "Little Man Tate (1991) and "Rain man (1988)). Always the same tricks to get goosebumps on non-gifted arms. to conjure up - what a perverse need some scriptwriters have! Do the kids who don't hit an IQ of 100 sometimes no longer matter? Awards are signs pinned by mediocre people to above-average people. Not because it's just that makes people special, but precisely because it perpetuates the "hoi polloi" in their normality in society. It makes above average intelligent people freaks. These kinds of movies send a false message that should remain unheard. You should not give gifted people treat them differently than the average person when it comes to social intercourse. It is of course always a matter of course with American films and there is a bittersweet edge to the film but that English mother in the film , who is portrayed as the Witch in Snow White, was in my opinion indeed right.

Disputes over child custody usually follow a divorce, but here's where Americans, who love to stage highly gifted children, get their chance to do things differently: a tug-of-war over a seven-year-old math genius or a normal, childish genius. playful education or to fully explore her giftedness.

Well constructed, at times emotional and with a remarkable acting of the girl, but as a whole not scaling high peaks. Some court scenes were very dusty and the dialogue work between Frank and his mother (Lindsay Duncan's convincing acting performance) was often spicy. Chris Evans' role was well filled, but Miss (Jenny Slate)'s was completely redundant except for the classroom scenes.

Tried this one and thought it was highly recommended. Well acted, especially from that girl and the story also managed to captivate.

The playing time was fine, not too long and not too short. It was also a nice mix of genres.
