Frankenstein: Legacy plot

"England, 1875. A century after Victor Frankenstein's doomed experiment, his journals have traded hands for decades."

Frankenstein's diary was stolen at knifepoint. It was traded in slums and chased by a shadowy gang who want the diary destroyed. Now it is in the hands of Millicent Browning, a gifted scientist who is obsessively searching for a cure for her husband's degenerative disease.
