"Love might be closer than you think."
In a large apartment at the foot of the Eiffel Tower, the lives of four people become inextricably linked. Camille, 26, lives a lonely life in Paris. She cleans offices at night, lives in an unheated room and neglects her drawing talent. When she falls ill, the well-mannered Philibert, descendant of an impoverished noble family, gives her shelter. The rather ill-mannered Franck, a hard-working top chef to be, also lives in the same apartment. This one really only loves Paulette, his old grandmother. When she threatens to languish in a dull nursing home, Franck, Philibert and Camille decide to take her in. Although the first contacts do not go smoothly, these four roommates find happiness together and all four try to come to terms with their past.

Quite a fan of Tautou, but even she can't save this movie. A very thin plot, which just doesn't come to life, also because of the little chemistry between the main characters. I get the idea of a little movie about ordinary people who can also lead beautiful emotional lives, but it's been done much better elsewhere. Unfortunately, this film is incredibly boring and unnecessary. 0.5*.

Cosy, tender (and ultimately optimistic) film about the inhabitants of an apartment in Paris with different characters and backgrounds. Together they find the motivation to say goodbye to their desperate past in order to face the future with some confidence. An empathetic film with excellent acting; in particular an excellent portrayal of Audrey Tautou in her best role since Amélie Poulain.

Pleasantly flowing, light-hearted drama about four people who live in a large apartment in Paris. The characters and plot lines don't amount to much and in the end the film is a bit too lightweight to be really memorable, but it's all just pleasant enough. This is mainly due to the excellent cast.
