En Enda Natt plot
Valdemar Moreaux operates the merry-go-round at his girlfriend's traveling fairground. One day he discovers that he is the illegitimate son of an aristocrat. He takes up residence in his father's mansion, with the intention of becoming a real aristocrat himself. The father, Colonel Von Brede, fervently hopes that Valdemar will become a worthy Von Brede so that he can leave his possessions to him. As guardian of the beautiful and very intelligent Eva Beckman, the old Von Brede also hopes that Valdemar and Eva will fall in love and eventually get married...
