Efterskalv plot
When John returns to his father after serving a prison term, he looks forward to making a fresh start. In the local area, however, his crime is neither forgotten nor forgiven. John's presence brings out the worst in everyone and a menacing atmosphere quickly develops. John feels abandoned by his former friends and the people he loves. He loses hope and the same aggression that landed him in prison begins to rebuild. Unable to put his past behind him, he decides to confront him.
