Dying Young plot
"It's not just a love story. It's a life story."
Free-spirited young woman Hillary catches her boyfriend in bed with another, abandons him and stands on her own two feet for the first time. She accepts a job ad and is recruited as a private nurse for a rich young man, Victor, who suffers from leukemia. The job demands much more from her than expected. After each chemotherapy session, Victor has hours of vomiting and then he falls into a black hole again and again. The inexperienced Hillary bravely helps him through. But when there are also amorous feelings, the problems are shifted. The central question then becomes: can a beautiful young woman choose life with a cancer patient?

Low score for such a film in my opinion.
Really good movie with good acting.
I thought it was all well put together, it didn't get boring at all.
In my opinion a film with a lot of emotion that was sharpened with a beautiful story and beautiful music. James N. Howard's music suited the film well.
A film with a bad story, therefore not a fun one but a beautiful film to watch.

In reality, beautiful women really don't fall for leukemia patients. Unfortunately, the world is not that rosy. So false sentiment. A very sweet film that is heartwarming at times because as a viewer you wish Victor some happiness. Scott is doing well as a terminally ill young man. Nevertheless, you still have to struggle through 110 minutes to an end that you saw coming from the very first minutes. Despite my somewhat critical remarks, I certainly didn't think the film was bad, as long as you know in advance that what you are presented with is not very realistic. This is also the reason why I was not taken by it and did not shed a tear.
