Distancia plot
Tomás Choc is an elderly Native American farmer who is going to make a journey of two days and 150 kilometers to see his only daughter again. Lucia, the girl's name, was kidnapped 20 years ago by the Guatemalan army. She was barely 3 years old at the time. During all these years Tomás - despite the grief and loss - kept a diary about his struggle, his resistance and his survival in the hope that one day he could let his daughter read it. He now takes this diary with him to hand over. When he sees his daughter for the first time, the conversation is not easy.
