Die Heilige Hure plot

dr. Marie Steiner teaches theology at a Catholic university. Partly because of her open-minded attitude, she is loved by her students. In her spare time she also studies sadomasochism and prostitution. However, her faith is severely tested after one of her students, a young deacon, commits suicide because the church has forbidden him to love other men. And a young woman close to her tells her that she was forced to have an abortion after becoming pregnant by a clergyman. When she gets to know the painter and church restorer Paul Gruber with his sadistic tendencies, she falls in love with the man. When she finds out that Paul is leading a double life and pretending to be an honorable family man, she takes the first steps in her "career" as a mistress.
