Der Winter, Der ein Sommer War plot

The late 18th century, when the Landgrave of Hesse received thirty Taler per head from the English king to allow 12,000, mostly conscript, soldiers to fight against the "rebels" of the American Revolutionary War. 1) Landgraaf Frederik II of Hesse-Kassel has money problems. However, there is a shortage of good ideas to fill the treasury. In order to obtain the necessary funds, the wealthy merchant Gottfried Haynau is raised to the peerage. 2) To get rid of the pesky money worries once and for all, the Landgrave collects abundant reserves and collects them as always from his subjects. 3) Barely on American soil, Colonel Rall's regiment takes part in their first battle. After that, their headquarters is set up on the Delaware.
