Cessez-le-Feu plot
The story is set in 1923. Georges has been a hero in 1914 who has fled his past. For four years he led a nomadic and adventurous life in Africa. Now he decides to return to France. He sees his mother again and also his brother Marcel, now a war invalid. He struggles to regain a place in the post-war era where life goes on without him. Then he meets Hélène, a language teacher and starts a relationship with her. He is faced with many difficulties in this regard.
