Byl Jazz plot

Poland, early fifties. The Stalinist regime is repressive and western jazz music is banned. Nevertheless, there are musicians who organize clandestine music evenings in cellars or underground clubs. The public likes it but occasionally they are harassed by the police. Then they play waltzes and polkas, but once the checkers are gone they switch to the popular New Orleans jazz.
