Delight 'Dee' Foster lives in a boarding house with her two friends. Billy Buvanny is in love with Dee and runs the show, where Dee sings in the choir. Billy makes Dee rise from singer to prominent dancer. Perc Gessant of Detroit is an importer and a gambler. A gang tries to keep Perc in town in order to rob him and they use Dee as bait. After her performance, Perc meets Dee. Because she is arguing with Billy at the time and angry with him, she and her friends go with Perc and his friends to gamble. Perc, who is in love with Dee, gets her another job, after which Billy ends his romance with Dee.
