"He survived one war only to start another."

“Battle Scars” explores the war experience, as well as the profound change many veterans undergo when they return home. Luke Stephens appears on the doorstep of his brother Nicky's front door after serving as a soldier in Afghanistan. He suffers from psychological trauma as well as physical wounds. He wants nothing more than to forget the war, but his father, also a war veteran, doesn't want him to. In a local strip joint run by a ruthless killer, Luke crosses paths with Michelle, who leads him into a violent world as dangerous and isolating as the brutality he desperately tried to leave behind in Afghanistan.
