"Based on the 1976 popular children’s Novel “Children’s Island” by P.C. Jersilds."

Reine Larsson (Tomas Fryk) should have gone to a summer camp called Kindereiland, but he decides to spend the summer in Stockholm while his mother works in a hotel. She thinks he has gone to camp, because Reine has told him so. Reine does not want to belong to that world at all, he sees the summer camp as deportation.
